"I grew up around food my entire life.  My mother had a catering business selling desserts to restaurants in the KC area. I had to be in the kitchen helping because as she would say “this is for you!…. You have to help so you will appreciate it more.

At the age of 16, I was the delivery driver, money collector and supply purchaser for the business.

Leaving to go to college in Louisiana, the education was meant to get me completely away from the kitchen and to start my own legacy in corporate America.  Never in my wildest dreams I would’ve thought, cooking is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life but it was!

Moving to Colorado in 1999, I missed and craved KC style bbq, Cajun/creole cuisine, and my Mom pies.  My grand-mother would say, “If you don’t like something – change it”! And I did…literally.

I started Taste the Love Cooking catering services offering what I grew up on. KC style BBQ, Cajun/Creole cuisine and those homemade pies passed down from generation to generation, why did I ever think I could let that go…ha!
